Nicotera Marina is a resort at the seaside in the peninsula Capo Vaticano (Italy - Calabria), at the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea in the area Costa degli Dei. The town itself is located at the base of the mountain Poro, the historical centre is in the upper part of the town and it therefore offers a great view of the coastline Gioia Tauro.
Nicotera Marina and the surrounding areas is known for the crystal blue sea, beaches with soft sand and the rocky reefs.
The indented coastline with reefs provides a shelter for many sea animals including the morays and octopuses, the divers can visit also the undersea caves and to enjoy the view of the diverse undersea fauna.
