Abruzzo is a region in the central Italy. The eastern part is washed by the Jordan Sea. There are not many towns nor historical sights, but there are amazing mountain sceneries. Nearly two thirds of this area are covered by mountains and the rest are hills. The long sandy beaches attract many tourists during the summer. In the south of Abruzzo there is a national aprk, which is one the most significant ones in the whole Europe. This region has also a very diverse fauna and flora. Abruzzo is also a popular ski resort. It is a perfect combination of the beauty of mountains and the calmness of the sea.
