Arabba

Arabba lies at the foot of the Sella Ronda massif, it is a very small village in the very heart of the Dolomite mountain massif. She is often underestimated by people because she doesn't even see her. They will pass through only to throw themselves into places covered by snow almost all year, on Marmolada (the highest mountain in the Dolomites) and other famous slopes that lead towards

to Canazei via the viewpoint on Passo Pordoi or towards Corvara via Passo Campolongo. This village lies at an altitude of 1,600 m and it is interesting that we still find inhabitants who speak Ladin.

Arabba is an ideal place to spend an unforgettable summer or winter holiday, and from Bohemia it is a stone's throw away.

Unlike other ski resorts, it does not have such a long history. Previously, there were really only pastures on which there was a lot of snow in the winter, which, when thawing in the spring, brought great problems with avalanches. Avalanches sometimes get angry here, but the altitude and the perfect snow offer attract lovers of downhill skiing and cross-country skiing on the unique slopes.

Arabba is surrounded by mountain passes, the so-called "passi", which allow skiers to reach other areas along the famous Sella Ronda circuit. For example, on Passo Pordoi to Canazei, or on Passo Campolongo towards another of Alta Badia and Passo Padon, which allows you to ski directly on Marmolada.

A trip to this highest mountain, the Dolomites, guarantees quality skiing at an altitude of up to 3,300 m. Skiing here can be divided into 3 areas:

1) slopes below Porta Vescovo
Porta Vescovo is at an altitude of 2,478 m overlooking Lake Fedaia. It is a ridge that is a remote part of the Marmolada massif. Follow the orange route counterclockwise to Passo Pordoi. There are slopes of higher difficulty and skiing here requires physical fitness, especially in the afternoon, when the slopes are not so well groomed.

Where the snow is of excellent quality because the slopes are not in direct sunlight, there are slopes towards Marmolada and Passo Padon (2,370 m). Punta Rocca (3,250 m) is the highest point where the cable car takes us and from there it is possible to take the red slopes directly to Passo Fedaia (2,057 m) and back to Arabba.

2) slopes on Passo Pordoi,
which are intended mainly for freestylers

3) slopes,
which can be found in the direction of Corvara along the green circle, or Passo Campolongo, which extends at an altitude of 1,875 m.

All this and much more we go to the ski passes Dolomites Superski (460 ski lifts) or Arabba / Marmolada, which includes 30 ski lifts in total. This ski pass is suitable for visitors who come here for just one day.
