Civetta
 




Civetta ski resort - that is snow, skiing and sun from November to April. It is set in the Veneto region, where it is one of the largest and most beautiful. It is possible to reach up to three places on skis, including Alleghe, Selva di Cadore, Zoldo Parafavera. Monte Civetta itself (3,220 m above sea level) is located between Marmolada and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Its north-western wall, 1,000 meters high and 4,000 meters wide and 7 kilometers long, dominates the village of Alleghe and attracts mountaineering enthusiasts here mainly in the summer.

Skiing in the Civetta resort is really very varied. The tracks are of all difficulties, so it will satisfy every visitor. There are interesting, for example, sunny slopes on the Col dei Baldi, which can be conquered even in very cold weather. All three areas are interconnected. And what attracts you to this region?

· Skiing in 1,000 - 2,100 m.n.m.

· 80 km of downhill runs (3 black, 22 red and 20 blue)

· 23 lifts

· 25 km of cross-country trails (night cross-country skiing)

Alleghe 979 m.n.m.

It is a small town that dominates the north side of Monte Civetta and is located in the Cordevole Valley. In winter, it is possible to reach the 6-seater cable car and the subsequent 4-seater chairlift to the central peak of the Col dei Baldi (1,920 m above sea level). More sporty slopes are located mainly in the vicinity of Crep di Pecol (1,765 m above sea level), where the cabins from Valzoldana start. It is connected to Alleghe by crossing roads, where you can enjoy views of the surrounding countryside. It is also one of the most famous resorts in the Dolomites. It lies on the lake of the same name Alleghe and in summer is an ideal base and starting point for hiking and not only that, but also for mountain biking or road cycling.

Selva di Cadore 1,317 m.n.


It is located in a valley called Fiorentina, where mostly moderately demanding slopes are set in a fairytale landscape. It is located at the foot of Mount Pelmo.

Zoldo / Palafavera 1,521 m.n.m.

The village lies in the heart of the Dolomites at an altitude of 1,177 m above sea level. and is one of the main gateways to the Ski Civetta ski area. The Zoldo area offers skiing at an altitude of 1,300 - 2,400 m above sea level, night skiing on two slopes Cristelin and Foppa and 25 km of cross-country trails, two also illuminated trails.

Transport accessibility of the Civetta area


Distance from Prague: 730 km

By car

from Prague via Rozvadov or Dolní Dvořiště to Innsbruck (550 km) and the Brenner Pass (580 km), after 40 km of the Italian A22 motorway before Brixen turn to Bruneck

along the SS49 road (650 km). It continues around it to Toblach, where there is a turnoff

along the SS51 to Cortina d´Ampezzo (710 km). From Cortina, it remains 40 km across the Falzarego Pass along the SS48 road and then the SS203 to Alleghe.

And from other places:

road from Venice, A27 Mestre-Belluno, from there continue on the state road 203 Agordina you will arrive directly to Alleghe after about 1 hour.

Arrivals from Belluno take the motorway to Ponte Nelle Alpi to the SS 51 Alemagna state road, which leads directly to Val di Zoldo. Selva di Cadore can be reached from both sides.

Another way to get to Civetta is the A22 Brenner motorway and then continue at the Egna / Ora exit towards the Val di Fiemme, then drive through the Val di Fassa, the town of Canazei, Fedaia do Alleghe. Turn to Val di Zoldo and Selva di Cadore

on Caprile (4 km before Alleghe).

From Germany and Austria you can also take the A22 motorway; exit at Bressanone, continue towards Brunico and then Val Badia. Then you can choose from several alternatives in the Val Badia:

along the SS48 Dolomites (Passo Campolongo - Arabba - Alleghe - Val di Zoldo - Selva di Cadore)
Passo Valparola and then Falzarego to Selva di Cadore - Alleghe - Zoldo.
And from Venice and Treviso airports it is only 100-120 km.

In winter, there is also a bus that takes you directly to the ski areas (info@dolomitistars.com).

From the 2014/15 season, the service is also active from Venice-Mestre Train Station and Verona and Bergamo Airports.
