Praia and Mare is a modern turistic town in the northern part of Italy - Calabria at the coast of Tyrrhenian Sea. One part is located towards the turquoise sea and the other part is framed by high mountains.
The name Praia comes form the ancient greek word for a beach. The beach is along the resort for about 5 km, it has a volcano origin and it is sandy with pebbles and reefs ideal for scuba diving.
The prominent feature of Praia and Mare is the island Dino, which is famous mainly for its beautiful caves (for example the Azur or the Lion cave), to which you can make a boat trip. There are also many other options for entertainment and sports in Praia and Mare, such as for example on eof the biggest aquaparks in the southern Italy. Do not forget to visit the regular weekly markets on Thursday mornings!
