The italian town Sorrento is located at the peninsula in the region Campania at the Tyrrhenian Sea. The town is based on the volcano terraces and it is surrounded by orange and lemon plantations. Sorrento is a seaside holiday resort which offers a beautiful view of the Vesuv volcano and of the island Capri. There are many historical sights worth visiting. The most famous one is the basilica San Antonio, the cathedral San Francesco or Dom. It is an ideal place for a nice vacation under the shades of lemon and orange trees. It offers you unforgettable walks along the beaches, promenades, terraces above the sea or in the tiny streets and also swimming in the sea.
