The whole valley is surrounded by the most beautiful and important mountains in the Dolomites, namely Marmolada (known as the queen - "regina" of these majestic mountains), Sella Ronda, Sassolung, Catinaccio, but also Buffaure and Monzoni. It is simply a paradise, in winter, not only for skiers, cross-country skiers, ski alpinists and snowboarders, but also, in summer, for tourists and cyclists.
Sport lovers with skis, bikes or poles for Nordic Walking are coming here for its natural beauty, winter ski resorts (Belvedere - Pordoi with 39 km of slopes; Ciampac with 14 km of slopes of all difficulties; Col Rodella; Pozza - Buffaure; Catinaccio - Ciampedie; Passo Costalunga and other), free style (4 snow parks), bike paths, climbing, panoramic views, etc.
The ski resorts are perfectly connected by a network of cable cars such as: Pozza di Fassa and the Buffaure ski resort with Alba di Canazei with the Ciampac ski resort or the cable car exit from Campitello di Fassa up to 2485 m (Col Rodella) and from Canazei to 1926 m (Pecol) on the famous Sella Ronda circuit.

In the Val di Fassa you can move during the winter to a single ski pass Dolomiti Superski, which you can use in other 12 alpine resorts or just on the ski passes Val di Fassa e Carezza, if you want to use only the exit to Col Rodella or Pecol peak from Canazei.
