Agropoli is a rather small but significant seaside resort, which is located 42 km away from Salerno in the Italian region Campania. The town has a very nice historical centre with tiny narrow streets and old houses built on a rocky massif. It is an ideal place for lovers of history and archeological findings. There are beautiful beaches divided by reefs to shorter sections.  It is an ideal place for trips along the coastline or in the mountains in the inlands. There is the Aragon castle from the 6th century at the peak of a mountain. At the peak of a different mountain is a guarding tower of Saint Francesco from the 16th century. Agropoli is a gate to this cultural and historical area. Apart from these sights there are moderns hotels and apartments, cafes, restaurants and clubs.
